• to advise state agencies on disposal of surplus equipmentto provide surplus equipment and office furniture to requesting agenciesto appraise surplus vehicles and equipment  to arrange for and conduct all public auctions for sale of surplus items that have not been transferred to agencies to provide a surplus listing of vehicles and equipment for sale at appraised prices to local governmental municipalitiesto determine the eligibility of organizations to receive state surplus property

Public Auction Sales
SD Property Management conducts all auction sales for the state of South Dakota. The sales are generally held in the spring and fall at various locations around the state.  Advertising for these sales is done in regional newspapers and through general mailings.  If you would like to be added to this mailing list, please contact our office.

Legal Publications

Property Management distributes legal publications such as SDCL, supplements, Administrative Rules and Legislative Manuals to all state agencies and the general public.  An order form may be obtained from State Property Management by calling or writing our office.  Rules are also available on magnetic media from the Legislative Research Council          http://legis.state.sd.us/index.aspx

Limited Storage Space  Property Management provides short and long-term cold storage space for state agencies.  Storage space is limited to warehouse space available. This service is available to Capitol Complex area users only.
