Mission Statement: The mission of the South Dakota Division of Human Rights is to promote equal opportunity through the administration and enforcement of the Human Relations Act of 1972. The act is designed to protect the public from discrimination because of race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability, ancestry or national origin. The Division makes information available to the public and employers in an attempt to eliminate discrimination.
