  The awards, presented in October 2008, honor excellence in electronic journalism, and are highly coveted by news organizations nationwide. In all, the Radio-Television News Directors Association selected just 77 award winners out of a pool of 3,459 entries.
The Radio-Television News Directors Association awarded just three radio UNITY Awards nationwide.
